All About Self Erecting Tower Crane

The self-erecting tower crane can be erected and operated compactly. It also has multiple transport options. Standard features include wireless remote controls, silent and efficient electric motors, and state-of-the-art variable frequency motor drives. Overload protection systems are also available.

The self-erecting tower cranes are a novel type of technology that is being used in Europe to build and service low- to mid-rise buildings. Self-erecting tower cranes, despite their similar name, are not as easily assembled and operated as traditional high-rise tower cranes. Self-erecting tower cranes can be driven to the Jobsite in less than an hour and are set up by following a controlled sequence.

They are compact and lightweight, allowing them to be used in tight areas.

Current crane regulations don't address self-erecting tower cranes. It is suggested that a licensing and regulatory system be developed for self-erecting tower cranes. This will allow the industry to take advantage of the efficiency and flexibility offered by self-erecting tower cranes, while also ensuring safety.

The Self-Erecting Tower Crane Benefits:

Self-erecting tower cranes (SETCs), are operated via radio remote control. This allows the Crane Operator to be mobile with his load and deliver it precisely where it's needed.

SETC will increase productivity by delivering material right at the point of use, thereby reducing labor costs.

SETC is small in footprint and can service your site from one location. This gives you more storage space for materials.

SETC reduces the need for vehicle movements on site and reduces the amount of material handling, increasing safety on site while saving money.
