Caring for Your Handicap Pool Lift

If you have recently installed an accessible lift in your pool, you will need to do regular maintenance to keep it functioning properly. Neglecting your lift can cause it to deteriorate and not function properly, which can be dangerous to you or others. Here are some things you can do to keep your pool lift in good condition for years to come. You can also check out here to get more information about handicap pool lifts.

Internal Lift

Your indoor lift can last longer than an outdoor lift because it won’t be exposed to inclement weather conditions. However, you need to take care of it so that it lasts a long time. After daily use, wash the pool lift with clean water to remove chemicals or chlorine that can damage the device. Once a week, clean with a soft cloth, soap, and warm water, and use a plastic brush to remove any traces of rust as soon as it appears.

External Lift

If you use a pool lift in an outdoor pool, you will need to spend more time on maintenance than if you use it indoors. If you live indoors and have a chlorine pool, all you need to do is wash it with soap and water once a month. If you have a saltwater pool, you will also need to remove rusty stains with a plastic brush.

With regular maintenance, your swimming pool lift will serve you and others well for years to come.
