Parachute cords, also called para chords, serve as suspension lines for the parachute. These ropes are usually made of nylon – the same material used in regular ropes – but nylon paracord tack are specially designed to make them stronger, thicker, and less prone to tearing and rotting.

Remember that your safety depends on how well your parachute rope holds your weight. How do you know which one to choose? Here are some tips to help you.

Tensile strength:- Paracords, which have a tensile strength of about 550, can withstand high loads and do not break under great stress. A rope with a lower tensile strength should be used in multiple strands to increase its resistance.

Weight maintenance:- An important factor when choosing a paracord is its durability. This mainly depends on the amount of nylon thread present in the cord. Cables are classified as Type I, Type II, Type III, and Type IV.

Type I, the lightest variant, can hold up to 100 pounds and has five nylon threads. Type IV is a heavy paracord with a coreless construction, meaning the entire cable is made of braided nylon for a stronger rope. The most reliable Paracord has a tensile strength of #550.

Web quality:- Even though nylon is very strong, bad knitting laces can easily give way to your weight. Make sure your paracord is threaded tightly everywhere, with no loose threads or bumps. The braid should stay in place even with sudden stress. Loose thread can pull and tear the entire line.
